Droxford has an anticlockwise ring of 5 bells; the earliest of which dates from 1606. In 1969, the bells were enhanced but unfortunately, the bell wheels installed on bells 1 and 2 were undersized. This made those bells relatively difficult to ring.
When the band was reformed in 2022, after an absence of 40 years, the new band submitted a project to replace the two undersized wheels and replace the pulleys for all the bells.
After extensive support from Portsmouth Diocese, very active fund raising including from the Bell Restoration Trust, together with funds and expertise from FODC, the works are due for completion imminently.
